That last verse brings tears to my eyes every time I hear "for so many now sleep in that grave near the old country church" . Grew up in Alabama but I spent most of my childhood summers in South Georgia. There was a little country church I loved going to with my grandparents and family. So many fond memories throughout childhood. Now that I am an adult I have seen more than my share of family and friends laid to rest there. I hope I have a lot of years left but in the end I want to be right there with them.
