My God , i was 13 when i heard this song. Same summer that i saw the girl i fell in love with , wow , i was put in the friend and protector zone by her but with time she came back and i asked her to marry me we were 18 , i had a great job we had a baby and a date to marry 5 motns later My god i loved her so much so very much . Then one day i came home from work she was gone with my son she married another the same weekend , I ried like a baby for years , Then 8 years later she arrived at my door with my son and a little girl asking me to take her back . I could not i just saw in my mind her running from man to man and being so gorgeous even now ,well that song it hurt but also helped me . More then 40 years later still i dream of what might have been .Thank you so very much Beverly
