I liked this song right away, I knew it seemed wistfully and I thought it meant..."Where are we now (the human race)?" But I think that he knew he would die when he made the video and it seems so much more personal. David. Bowie.was one in 10 million kind of man, a very gifted artist. His greatest gift to us was he made us THINK about our existence. God bless him.
such a deep pain, such a deep love for you my dear maestro.... you are the voice of my most intense and enduring feelings, hopes, ideas.... i miss u so so so so so much
Bowie was holding himself in, just about keeping his emotions in check. Lovely, lovely poignant song with just enough of an honest musical twist to inform the listener that Bowie always tried to stay original and not derivative.

After being in Berlin for 8 days, some of the scenery is more familiar to me, so the song now has a deeper meaning because of that.

The way he looks at this stuffs and the dog passing by is like a farewell. Is the moment you know you know! Where are you now, Dav?
