Man, this video blows my mind for 3 reason.*First, the fact that these are REAL people, not actors, not a music clip, but real moments of the past, of people all probbably already dead, lifes that have come and are gone. This is pure time expressed, translated.*Then about the song: that for some reason seems to (abstractly) deal with this exact context of time passing, things changing, histories that happening without scrip or control. How the lyrics fits so smooth with the footages. How the tune fits so neatly with the feeling of the film. The way the song were composed in a distant place from there about a different intemption.. the same about the films. and how they come to meet and fit so nicely in this art.*And finally to the strange realization that these people, right in that momment when each films were recorded could never imagine that years in future their momments would, by chance, fit in so well with a song, in a video made posted on an inexistent tecnology at the time. Think on how they would react if they new. Think about how their naturallity at these images depended by the fact they were oblivious of what they would become after.
