    • My late Father hailed from beautiful Tralee! I was impressed with the reference to India. Few people today know that the Irish were very much involved in the British administration of India and that, at one time, every virile young Irishman in Kerry yearned to be accepted into the Royal Munster Fussiliers, which served mostly in India. A very beautiful and tender song. Thank you so much!

    • This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. As I am about 3/4 Irish, Celtic music has always had a very special place in my heart.

    • In the sixties I played the bagpipes at The Rose of Tralee Beauty Concert . Just love this old Irish song, brings back happier days for all, an innocent time when the World had the promise of a better tomorrow.

    • When I was a little girl, I would sit & watch my father, Raymond Kelly, shave I would say " Daddy sing Mary" I was named after my his Mother Mary Ellen Kelly.

    • My husband was English/American, an attested descendant of John Adams. I always hoped he saw the truth in my eyes. I believe he did and I saw the same in his eyes.

    • Lord have mercy, this singer only sings beautiful poems.  These are not songs, these are amazing poems.   When I hear this kind of music, I know for sure I am living on the wrong century for sure.

    • It is a breathtaking rendition.  The third verse is not so often sung,  for it is too sad. Thanks for uploading this beautiful peace.
