A child sits on his mothers knee, looking at Christ and the wounds of the scourge and cruxifixction, comparing those scars to his own and the scars the hands that caused the scars the child and mother bare. When I was 12, I had my little compact CD player and my two cds were a burned copy of a my chemical romance album that was leftover from my sisters emo phase and a nickel creek that my mother used to listen to. I had this little kitten my family had saved out from under a car and he was my first cat and best friend. I would lay on my bedroom floor and write in my dream journal while playing this particular song on repeat and my cat would either lay on my back or right next to me. This year I am almost 19 and I lost my cat back in August, I had since forgotten this song until I heard it playing on the radio and I just started bawling my eyes out. I loved this song before but now its super special to me.
My two yearold daughter Daniella loves you guys. Out of the Woods is her favorite. She sings it and it melts my heart..Thankyou for your beautiful music. ♡♡♡
