My friends band opened for them in Edmonton somewhere between 2005 and 2007 but I had to duck out early so I bought their albums without hearing them play. Great purchase.
Not many pixie/nirvana meant nothing like some popular pop/rap songs do. Most pixie/nirvana songs were inspired by something while a lot of pop (not all, but most popular ones) is just another meaningless love song that is meant to be relatable, or just songs that are meant to make you feel happy like off the top of my head "Just Dance" and "Lazy Song" lol dont know why i thought of those. And a lot of popular rap (Lil Wayne, Drake, Tyga, Flo Rida) is just how famous/rich they are.

"Why would someone write a song that meant nothing?" *cough* pop music *cough*

I just love how their lyrics sound meaningful when you first hear them, but when you actually listen to them it means nothing.

Im not really criticizing, just pointing out. In the end watever music makes you feel good is fine.
